A Refined and Intimate Backyard Wedding in Charlotte: Bella & Elliott

The bride and groom in the backyard shortly after the ceremony.
Bella & Elliott were married in their own backyard—surrounded by their closest people, just steps from their home in Charlotte, NC. It was personal and effortlessly elegant in the best way. Every part of the day felt like them.
The ceremony took place beneath a canopy of trees, with handwritten vows and happy tears all around. It was intimate, grounded, and full of meaning.
Bella wore a gown and veil from House of Flora, perfectly tailored to her timeless, understated style. Her makeup was done by Laura R. Artistry, who brought out Bella’s natural glow with an effortless, polished look that lasted all night.
Margo of Malaya Floral designed their florals —garden roses, delicate filler, and playful textures that echoed the relaxed spirit of the day. Her arrangements added just the right amount of softness to the space, from the ceremony backdrop to the intimate dinner setup.
After the vows, I set my camera down and joined the celebration as a friend. But before that, I made sure we captured the big moments, the quiet ones, and the blink-and-you-miss-it in-betweens.
It’s the kind of wedding that reminds you why small celebrations can feel so expansive—because the love is concentrated, and nothing gets in the way of it.
