Foggy Morning Bridal Portraits on Nantucket's Coastline
A bride on the beach of Nantucket
This quiet, moody morning on the coast of Nantucket offered the perfect canvas for a bridal portrait session inspired by texture, movement, and coastal romance. Shot near the historic Brant Point Lighthouse, the fog rolled in softly—blurring the horizon and casting a muted glow across the ocean, sand, and stone.
The bride’s gown, a flowing silhouette by Rue De Seine Bridal, was both ethereal and grounded. The dress felt both sculptural and weightless—its bodice anchoring the silhouette as the layered skirt danced in the breeze.. Adorned with delicate seashells in her hair and layers of artisan accessories, she wore a hand-beaded net veil and matching pearl-drenched bag, each piece glistening with detail against the ocean haze.
This session was designed in collaboration with Honey + Thyme Events, who curated the tone and styling with their signature sense of ease and organic artistry. Jenn at Meraki Blommor, known for her poetic approach to floral design, took a different creative direction for this shoot. She crafted two bespoke accessories by hand: a hand-beaded pearl handbag and a delicate veil, intricately beaded to resemble a weathered fishing net. These pieces brought a sense of artistry and intention to the bridal look—merging coastal inspiration with heirloom-level craftsmanship. Each accessory echoed the tactile, ocean-washed aesthetic of the day in a way that felt both rooted and elevated.
Most of the imagery was photographed on medium format film, allowing the fog, ocean light, and bridal textures to come through with richness and depth. As the morning mist rolled in, it began softly fogging the lens—adding a dreamy, diffused glow to many of the frames. Rather than fight it, leaned in. The haze, movement, and moisture gave the images a veil-like softness that perfectly mirrored the textures of the gown and the delicate beadwork of her accessories. The result is a gallery that feels both grounded and otherworldly.
